She May Be Gone Poem by Dorsey Baker

She May Be Gone

You might have a woman
when you go to prison
but when you get out
she may be gone
sometimes
a woman don't
want to wait
that womanjust might
want to stabilize
her mental state
you might have
a woman when you go
to prison
but when you get out
that woman
she may be gone
a woman needs loving
and she is going to
get it
while she can
even if
that means
giving herself
to another man
she didn't make you
commit the crime
the crime you committed
and now
you have to do the time
but when you get out
that woman
you thought
would be faithful forever
she may be gone!

want to wait
that woman
just might want to
sabilize
her mental state
you might have
a woman when you
go to prison
but when you get out
that woman
she may be gone
a woman needs loving
and she is going to
get it
while she can
even if that means
giving herself
to another man
she didn't make you
commit that crime
the crime you committed
and now
you have to do the time!
but when you get out
that woman
you thought would
be faithful forever
she may be gone!
