Shootin' And Shacklin' Poem by Percy Dovetonsils

Shootin' And Shacklin'

The Kenosha PD
saw fit to shackle Jacob Blake's leg
to his hospital bed
for days
though he is paralyzed
from the waist down
after being shot in the back 7X
by a Kenosha cop.

Gee, the cops must think he is
Superman.
They're certainly behaving
like they're terrified.
"Be afraid! Be very afraid! "

And there STILL
isn't an official account
of this atrocity.
Neither the Popo Chief
nor the District Attorney
have come forward
with diddlysquat.
Maybe they're hoping
it will just go away.
"A miracle! "

Instead, the Kenosha Police Union has jumped forward
with a bullsh-t narrative of the shooting
claiming Blake was "armed with a knife."
Really?
Do YOU see a knife in that video?
Police unions know
that blaming the victim
is always a fine tactic
in defending murderous cop behavior
like this.
"Shooting? What shooting?
I don' know nuthin' 'bout no shootin', Miss Scarlett."
says the Kenosha Popo Chief

And if that weren't bad enough,
the Kenosha PD
has been handling with kid gloves
the 17 year old right wing terrorist
Kyle Rittenhouse,
who killed two protesters
and wounded another
with his trusty AR 15.
That kid was recently photo'd
in the front row of a Trump rally, btw.
Did you know
there are now 3 million assault rifles
in private hands in the US.
More than anywhere else
in the world.
We're the world leader in assault rifles
and covid deaths.
It's the most profitable fire arm sold
....no surprise.
The manufacturers
are major financial backers
of the under indictment
NRA.

And no, Trump made no mention
of Jacob Blake, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor,
or rightwing terrorist Kyle Rittenhouse
in his nomination speech
at the "F- k the Hatch Act"
White House.
"Video of Jacob Blake
gettin' shot in the back 7 times?
I don't know nuthin' 'bout
no backshootin' video, Miss Scarlett."
