Silence Poem by Amy Carr

Silence

Early morning's
yellow glow shines
all around the
dark figure of you
above me, blocking
the light as my fingertips
trace the shape of
a word floating over
your heart, permanent,
serene, and frightening.

delicate and suggestive an intricate melody of life love and the mystery soft and fierce a fine poem
