Silent Warfare Poem by David Thomas

Silent Warfare

it hurts more to feel you
walking away in perfect weather,
it hurts most to hear you
speak silent words and their acupuncture,
pierce my soul as if blades
of a descending God in a spiteful
relationship, full of only promises
of demise and bittersweet
goodbyes.
