Tight As A Screw Poem by Chloee Desormeau

Tight As A Screw

You look at me silently
But in your eyes i see doubt
I see your smile flashing reluctantly,
And I know you're avoiding your true feelings coming out.

I smile back at you,
Appearing as natural as I am able to
But you seem unsure if my smile is true,
thinking maybe my secrets are as tight as a screw.

Think of me as a simple flower
Each trait and secret has its own petal;
Pulling out a single one would break all beauty and power
Forcing everything to suddenly fall apart.

Bottom line;
My secrets somehow hold together
So if I tell you I'm fine,
just leave it at that and don't even bother.
