Silly Song Poem by Vukasin Vucenovic

Silly Song

Sorrow,
Why'd you stay?
Why won't you go away?

I see,
You don't want to talk with me.
Well, I'll seek for a new friend,
I'll befriend love, and that'll be your end.

Oh love,
The best friend I've had.
You make me feel so tall and grand,
Every moment spent with you,
Is a moment well spent.

Hey love,
Let's have some fun,
I'll invite some friends over.
Doubt was the first to respond,
Clouded the room and regret he spawned.

At first,
He was hiding deep inside,
But then he decided to take a ride
Where I'd drive and he'd steer,
And so I sided with him,
I sided with fear.

And,
In that crazy ride with fear,
I've lost a friend, to me very dear.
Love has slithered away from me,
And I was too late to see
Who I am and what I want to be.

So,
I return home to find everyone's gone.
As I lay in the bed all alone,
Praying for better tomorrow,
I hear someone knocking on the door -
It's regret and sorrow.
