Singing Rain Poem by Ibnu Din Assingkiri

Singing Rain

Rating: 5.0

Rain sings on the zinc roof
Unlike barking dog: Woof! Woof! Woof!
Like warm hug and mother’s pat
It whispers in my ears: Pat! Pat! Pat!

Rain sings on the zinc roof
Unforgettable memory, I am living proof
Sat together on the mengkuang mat
Boiled tapioca was all we had.

Rain sings on the zinc roof
Shut barking dog: Woof! Woof! Woof!
Back in the yesteryears I am at
Listening to the rain: Pat! Pat! Pat!
