Singing To The Storm Poem by Chris Haifley

Singing To The Storm

A front is coming,
Land and water clashing together,
Up in the air, and descending on our heads,
This natural beauty has physical effects,
To make people alive, to make them rest.

The perfect storm is brewing inside me,
The perfect situations have made a land in my mind,
Bittersweetly, I embrace it with the picture in mind,
Because Out Of Suffering Have Emerged the Strongest Souls...

Three days of rain cause sighs and yawns,
Fatigue is as heavy as the air,
But we look upon the blue-gray layers of the dry sky
And feel almost exalted, because are battles are paused,

Let the beauty out, sing the song of redemption,
Full of Youth and Vigor and Endurance,
Suffer for your art, your love,
And you will he rewarded with the ultimate beauty.
Spread the message, release the image, the sound,
Though there will always be empty sighs, make them on key,
And together we will be in wonderful harmony.
