Sinking Poem by Raymond Finnegan

Sinking

Rating: 5.0

Eyes soaked and glazed
a heart of joy
a lover to praise.

Tears sprinkle upon the ground
a heart so delicate
a lover need not make a sound

Let the moment capture your soul
sink in deeply
savoring every breath
yet surely
as a sunset that grazes the earth turning into night
revealing a naked sea of stars.

Be engulfed by her mysteriously enchanting brown amber eyes.

Gaze back at them.
(Pause)
Let her see...
let her know...
There shall never be lies!

Just Truth!
Love!
Loyalty!

Until thy last breath
thy last sunrise
and last sunset.
