Sipped And Found Dipped Into Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sipped And Found Dipped Into

A few have created a devious way.
To sell to many,
That a drinking and bathing in kool-aide.
Is okay to do.
No less than two or three times everyday.
It has to be kool-aide with a lemon twist.
To have effectively erased,
Any attempt made to connect a thought process.
Even so-called 'Christians' in churches sit,
Not to pray to God.
But who next to start an argument with.
While quoting a scripture.
As if this qualifies the acceptance,
Of them doing it religiously.
To excuse the fact they are hypocrites.

The folks of today,
Have to be on pre-sweetened kool-aide.
Or feeding on overcooked B.S. to eat.
What else could it be that can explain the mess.
Coming out of the mouths of those,
With salt and peppered tongues.
Digesting something wrong.
Neither capable to eliminate thoroughly.
Nor rid completely to forever overcome,
The sipping to dip into the madness done.
