Sipping On Your Nectar Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Sipping On Your Nectar

I can tell when you have arrived.
Your energy is unquestioned.
As your presence is felt,
The air becomes electrodynamic!
Sparks fly as honey from you drips.
And I am drawn to your light like a magnet.
To begin sweating from the heat you provide.

I can tell when you have arrived.
Others can tell too!
They begin to turn away as if afraid of you.
Not me. Immediately you get me too hot!
I can whisper sweet nothings in your ear nonstop!
To nourish on the doing of that to never leave,
For the rest of my life just sipping on your nectar.
