Sliding About Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Sliding About

Outlasting exhausting propensities of yesterday,
quietly anticipating moments breaking and swelling
in unison.

Pressures mounting and splashing like sand thrown
from the ocean floor, betraying the fastidious
loveliness hiding uncoverly inside.

Taking apart deep labyrinths, skating across
pathways of a mind, sliding down and over another
unfitful day and night.

Alone, away from the maddening crostics, easing slowly,
the strains of everyday life.
