Kyrsten Gaddis

Rookie (10/24/1995 / Mt. Vernon)

Help me through
the times,
When I don't know
What to do.
Could you listen?
This is my call to you,

The years we spent
Mean the world to me.
I feel,
Us drift apart.
Our styles are changing.
Is this growing up?
If this is,
I don't want to.
Is it me?
I can't change,
I'm trapped within myself.
As my body and mind seperate.
I know what I want,
Can I make it?
Am I strong enough?
To fight myself,
Fight for my life back?
I don't know,
If I'm alone.
Tell me.
I'm trapped,
Will you be the one
To rescue me?
Or will you
Let me suffocate,
Within myself.
And lose
All connections with reality?

Tell me Snake,
I shall wait.
Whether it be
A day,
A week,
Or even Century,
I shall wait,
For you to tell me,
My Snake.

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;
