the snow-carpet fades
specks on verdure—Spring's snowdrops
snowing petals soon
This is just lovely and not a shadow in view to spoil the delicate perception. This haiku and the previous tanka belong together. The haiku is innocent. It only knows what it loves and it loves in an extended present moment. The tanks is wise, it knows life is brief and we need a philosophy to reconcile ourselves to transience. It's amazing. You wrote two short poems and together they encompass the world and the fullness of heart that makes us human.
