So Basic Am I Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

So Basic Am I

So basic am I,
My blemishes and flaws...
Have a personality of their own.
They have no fear to appear publicly.
In fact...
When I had made attempts to hide them,
I began to hear rumors...
I was trying to find a reason,
To escape from my accomplishments...
Only a few had discovered.
And no one 'then' had believed,
I was seriously seeking to achieve anything.
