So Blind The Need Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

So Blind The Need

So blind the greed.
So blind the need,
To feel powerful over others.
And finding reasons,
That validates them to be...
Beneath and below,
Upturned noses.
Sniffing as they pass...
Those perceived,
To smell of...
Acid poured over trash.

So blind the theft.
So blind are the ones,
Of the 'upper crust'.
Crooked and corrupted.
With this as an ideal.
To value and protect.
Although will claim to be victimized,
If caught breaking laws.
And rules they object to following.
Done to claim themselves above,
Them, they and 'the others'...
Who should obey and follow the rules.
After all,
Them, they and 'the others'...
Will never afford,
To do as we please.
You know...
The we who have dignified,
The feasting on greed to deceive exclusively.
