So Close Poem by Rommel Laride

So Close

it had started with a simple meeting,
shared comments, points of view and thoughts alike,
and then t’was seconded by a greeting,
realized have common faves and dislike.

conversed a lot of times with each other,
growing comfortably in company,
wondering if only they’re together,
frustrated knowing that she’s far away.

yet all the feelings back in there remain,
decided to take a hold unto it,
though t’was like driving on opposite lane,
a path astray that they have to create.
though ten percent make, ninety percent break,
t’was part of the risk that one has to take.
