So_Like_You_Now Poem by william cunningham

So_Like_You_Now

History may repeat
So I may keep my rage
But I'm so young in this day
So I better stop stressing
Because all its doing is messing with my head
Sometimes I use to wish I never got outta bed
Because you made me feel extinguished
Like you wished I would be gone
Like dust drifting through the wind
Passing by every single view point
Until I can't see you
Like you imagined two lives
Like you thought the one we had would disappear
Like you thought all the memories in our time would vanish
You said I was like a bulb that lost light
You said I was a different person
You said I looked at you different
I thought you cared
I thought you would think first
I thought you were honest
But now I guess I was wrong
So now I believe you were a fake
So now I can move on
So now I can redeem my faith
And come back stronger than before
Now I won't have to deal with your rubbish
Now I can relax
Now I can keep my head up high
And tell my thoughts of you goodbye
Now I can sit at home all alone
Feeling stone cold
With a heart to spare
For anyone who has someone to care
And watch this nightmare
Turn into its near end
And just keep wondering if I should call a friend
I may not be religious
But I can still say amen
