So Very Long Ago Poem by Sandra Feldman

So Very Long Ago

Rating: 5.0

Love flowered in Life's garden,
So very long ago
When dreams were young,
And hearts were spun,
With threads of golden glow,
And happiness just filled the air,
Like none would ever know.
So very long ago.

Now Time has worn,
Lives now are torn
And Love is nowhere near,
All that remains,
An empty frame
With no one's name
And one perpetual tear.

Sandra! ! ! This poem is perfection! ! ! ! It flows in the ways all other poets want their poems to flow. It has an edge to it too, it is not all peace and goodness- it has heartache and pain as well. You handled this dichotomy like a master! I am in awe of you. 10 thousand 10's would not be enough! onto my fav list too!

When dreams were young and hearts were spun, what a lovely poem Sandra! Sad but poetically profound! !
