Soliloquy Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Soliloquy

Four oblivious years
of basking in
your smile.
Four obvious years
of sharing
your pain.

Forbidden to love you,
I denied myself.
trying to forget you,
by falling for
someone else.

Only after suffering
a tremendous blow
and calling for
you to heal me,
do I now know.

I could never
Forget you.
Your sweet music,
the bliss of your
voice.
Your eyes,
heartrending to read.
Your cuts
Making me bleed.

Can't deny I want you,
to hold you in every way.
To meld our hearts together,
Oh, for this I pray.

You see me helpless before you
My yearning eyes
so bright
You kiss me and
send me to
the only place I
feel alright.

But you claim to
have your eyes on
someone else.
You act as if we're
casual.
But to you I've
tied myself.

Sometimes your embraces
seem to reveal a
deeper caring.
Our eyes meeting
while slow dancing...
Is it more?
Or is that just
my desperate illusion?

Can't advance,
afraid to ruin us.
Knowing I can't
be with you.
So broken, and in lust.
So many other barriers.
I couldn't give you anything.

Would you even want it?
I'd be content with
just doing whatever
you please,
If another hadn't noticed
and somewhat corrected
my disregard for
my own destruction.

Burned by passion and pain,
Bitterly hating and
sweetly savoring
every touch,
I beg you to be my
Almost lover,
not knowing if it
I want.
