Someone Like You
Is just what I need
as I try to connect
to harvest this seed.
The Man placed it in my hands
saying, 'You've got a long
and hard row to hoe
but you will
'cause you can.'
Without the awareness of love
how to spread it and make it grow
I just planted and planted
with little but trying
to show.
If I could find someone like you
with the bent of me
my seed could know potential
become a tree.
