Something Authentic Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Something Authentic

Selling lies to sell,
Is much easier to produce...
When truth seekers,
Are not around to bargain...
For something authentic,
That is worth the price.
Often overlooked...
At a flea market where crooks,
Can hide to disguise...
Delusions replicated cheaply.
Without costly advertising.
To know...
Lies to sell do well,
When the price paid for them...
Come in bulk.
And packaged to attract.

Seldom are those,
Looking for authenticity...
Will be standing around,
Awaiting to pay for it.
Behind others who have no idea,
What it is at a flea market...
Many don't recognize,
As being unique.
