Something Different Poem by Kayla Roberts

Something Different

There’s something different about everyone’s eyes

Each a different setting
Many things seen
Both good and bad
To the very extremes

Tears of sadness,
Happy tears, too
Whether circular or oval
From hazel to blue

There’s something different about everyone’s mouth

So many languages
And accents together
Words so uplifting or not
That are in mind forever

Some controlled,
Others not.
Some take pills or drink
Or just smile a lot

There’s something different about everyone’s ears

From music to nature
And teachers to friends
Some like listening to others,
While some pretend

Some just hear criticism
And hope for more
Yet some hear things too much
And don’t believe it anymore

There’s something different about everyone’s thoughts

Most don’t think things through
And regret it again
Some think too much
And miss opportunities in the end

Some minds can hold
So much pain and anger
While others yell and scream
And instantly feel better

*Everyone is Unique*
