Sometimes

Sometimes I'm up
Sometimes I'm down
Sometimes I smile
Sometimes I frown

Sometimes it's forward
Sometimes it's backward
Sometimes I'm agile
Sometimes I'm awkward

Sometimes I'm annoyed
Sometimes I'm happy
Sometimes I have my
voice
Sometimes I lose it

Sometimes I fly
Sometimes I fall
Sometimes I glide
Sometimes I stagger

Sometimes I win
Sometimes I lose
Sometimes I'm free
Sometimes I'm screwed

Sometimes I'm sober
Sometimes I'm drunk
Sometimes I float
Sometimes I drown

Situation keeps fluctuating;
I've never been here nor there
The world keeps moving
While I'm blown around from within.

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
