Sonnet: A Ship Upon Deep Seas! Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: A Ship Upon Deep Seas!

A ship that made its way onto deep seas
In glory, stays afloat but rudderless!
It faces frequent storms, fierce winds that cease,
And has less fuel, water and food less.

The fewer crew are working for more time;
None know if it can reach the land safely;
The old vessel can withstand any clime;
Is it a tryst then of destiny?

All calls for help have landed on deaf ears;
No radar picked her up upon its screen;
The darkness of the clouds sends shivers, fears;
The forlorn ship's on sea with silver sheen!

Yet, can the captain make it to safety?
Despite all odds, God cares for this beauty!
