Sonnet: Living Life Wisely Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Living Life Wisely

Become the cheerful soul, you used to be,
For things can't happen all in ways we want;
We ought to lead a life that's quite stress-free;
To do all things we aim for, we just can't!

Life's unpredictable in many ways;
Our earthly schedules may not work on time;
God's time is best for creatures all, always;
God's plans will work despite inclement clime!

Mere fretting, fuming all the time is bad;
The roads on earth we take, God must allow;
For what you are in life today, be glad;
God's rainbow comes for every man with love!

Just take the things that come your way with cheer;
Hope brings life's successes; so, have no fear!

Happy Birthday, dear child!
