Spare The Rod Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Spare The Rod

Rating: 5.0

Don't love Daddy cos
he’s mad cruel one.
Who uses buckled belt
to smack stinging bum.

A lesson anger lashed
in frenzied intolerance.

Teaching frustrated right
enforced with maniac might.
Not a lasting heartfelt
love of morals learnt.

Violence only teaches
who is the strongest
not who is morally right
domestically the worst
parental role models.

Domestic violence
must be community viewed
with social intolerance.
