Speech unwarranted

Why do people lower constitutional position?
When position is granted with honor by nation?
Even though it is called titular
But position held is with honor

So many past presidents had said
Some sentences that were laid
As bad examples for constitutional position
It created one more confusion

One ex minister showed inclination
For touching feet of politician before nation
One even went on serving her end
Such was recent degradation

Present vice president clung to position
Took visible side of one political party of nation
Even toed to the line and included in farewell speech
How could people be positioned on such high level?

Why did he not resign if he was feeling no freedom?
Why did he not use his wisdom?
He enjoyed all the benefits
And stayed on as it deemed fit

He will go down in history
As one of most disliked person in parliamentary democracy
The nation pays flowery words on departure
Here he got only stricture
