Spoken Word Poem by Katie Figueroa

Spoken Word

Let me tell you about the power of prayer and the spoken word.
All of heaven watched and beheld his works
As the power of His word created the earth and all living things.
By a spoken word the stars were flung into space
By a spoken word a delicate pansy face, perfumed roses, and lilacs
did grace this place.
To top it off on the sixth day God created man by His spoken word
and the breath of life.
Let me tell you about the power of prayer.
God is a gentleman! Unloose his arms, and pray!
He gave us authority to tread on serpents that evil one.
By your spoken word you either loose or bind.
Forgive one another! Come on loose that tongue and pray!
Come on loose that tongue and pray!
Because of prayer, Daniel was victorious in the lions den.
The three Hebrew boys were saved from a fiery death.
By our obedience through the power of prayer, God heals
thousands and sets captives free.
Come on loose that tongue and pray!
It could be your daughter today in need!
Come on loose that tongue and pray!
