St. Patricks Day Poem by Nick krakana

St. Patricks Day

Down the road and around the bend
St.Patty's Day will be here again
So I cast a thought on this screen
Play me something with an Irish ring

The Luke Kelly Band did grace this thing
And as many times now I have heard them sing
An Irish banjo has a special ring - Discipleship
"With a right to go wrong and a hand me down my Bible song"

If hockey player's they were to be
They'd fight their way to victory
Not missing a note the puck would float
Off the post a final note

The Irish have heart's as big as the moon
When it come's to this type of tune
Instrumental's with a heavenly ring
Where Irish Saint's do clap and sing

A taste of heaven t'was meant to be
Dating back to the sixteenth century
A lesson in the Irish mix of song
Bout liquor and the Bible

Not sounding so wrong
Oil and water - they may well be
A musical canvas on humanity
