Stamina Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Stamina

A kept stamina,
To feel it leaves...
Malaise to depend upon.
With a staying to remain.
Without urgency and much ease.
A kept stamina, to have it.
Leaves.
No time to find whining.
Or dine on crow.
Stuffed with corn bred hypocrisies.
A kept stamina,
Leaves.
A life lived to appreciate.
Getting away from the mundane.
And exploring to celebrate,
Something done to do and pursue.
A kept stamina, to have it leaves,
Reasons left behind to create excuses.
And the freedom to feel blessed to breathe.
Everyday.
Whatever comes one's way.
And everyday to explore,
More of life to adventure.
With enthusiasm, love and acceptance.
