'star light star bright'
eons passed by
into earth's womb
sunk into oceans
diluted into galaxies
and you're the same
'twinkle twinkle
little star...'
when the ancient me
roamed the length and breadth
of the expanding space
and intriguing earth
you were the one guiding me
now with not much wonder
left in life
earth bound woes
never allowing a gaze
'spent and tired'
night after night
i dissolve into
the dark spaces
you traverse
before you shine

Great visual imagery, and a nice take on something we can all identify with. We haven't the time to just enjoy what nature and the universe has to offer us each day. If we did stop for a moment to do so, our lives would be much richer. A lovely poem with a powerful message. Linda :)
i've seen those stars....i have my own share of sad starry poems (Starry Night, Dead Stars)
what a lovely piece..great flow of beautiful words... Love, Meggie
I liked the turn in this flowing poem Indira although I was unhappy for you. Stars represent romance and new beginnings, but like life itself, they can't be happy all the time, nor can you! Great writing as always. 10 Karin
