Statistician Poem by Mark Heathcote

Statistician

There is a statistician in everyone
who can remember and count the bad times
but it's-remembering counting the good-times
divided from the bad that counts and matters.
The path of knowledge and learning never ends
it's the stone in your shoe you learn to welcome,
it's the devilment of a foe and a friend
that never leaves you but steers your journey
until the very end. Plums can be sour
but weren't it once sweet picked at a precise hour
and handled by hands delicately and decisively.
