Staying In Poem by Elia Michael

Staying In

I am sitting here in my room
I am waiting for a call
To go walking but I assume
We will not be going at all

For the sky has turned very black
There are spots of rain on my pane
I’ll just stay in and have a snack
And blame the rain for my weight gain

So I’m sitting here in my room
Playing a cello concerto
And thinking of the sunlit broom
Earlier seen, oh so yellow!

Maybe the flowers will pop their heads out, saying hello, after the rainy day has passed....I wish you sunlight soon. PEACE
