Still Some Light Poem by Sumanta Chatterjee

Still Some Light

Still some faint light
Through which
The insensate body of Aylan Kurdi
Turning back on the sky—

Only one life
But
Thousands of death-processions
How far beyond the galaxy—

If in only flower
The whole plant
And innumerable thorns around
Let the sorcery-land be destroyed—
