Straw Hat Poem by Mark Heathcote

Straw Hat

I will unravel my soul like a straw hat
I will let my last thoughts set-seed
And fall into your lap.

My music will mingle with the moon
That moves the waters of the ocean
That circles the globe.

And like an untarnished drop of dew
A prismatic teardrop will form
And descend once more.

It shall feed a desert, an empty wilderness
By your grace, stars will method a plan
to shine and garden a flower
I will tend and water once more forever.
