Suddenly a day of light and warmth
Becomes an afternoon of gloom and cold
Suddenly the happiness
Of simply being alive
Becomes the sadness of doom
Suddenly the world outside changes
And I change inside with it
In the late afternoon now
Toward the darkness of night.
