Sugar Sand Poem by Sidi Mahtrow

Sugar Sand

Listen to the crunch
Of the sugar sand
As it yields to footsteps
That mark the path of man.

The grinding of crystals
Throbbing from within
A sense deeply moving
The crunch of sugar sand.

Soon the footsteps will be gone
And the time will have passed
Yet in the mind; sound everlasting
The crunch of sugar sand.

yes all matter is sentient and also the memory of sugar sand of those who have stepped there bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders yet received with grace and clarity by sugar sand all at last dwelling in peace a fine poem
