Summary Poem by Dan Brown

Summary

You hid behind your one disguise
and peddled old, recycled lies,
and though I made so many tries,
I couldn't sever all our ties.
So still I wait for one surprise
from him of stone who never cries.
There'll come a time for all 'goodbye's'
and hopefully before he dies.
But until then, we'll talk with sighs;
continue to date other guys -
pretending to be fine with size
but say I'm not the one who buys
so I don't have to buy their fries.
Undoubtedly, there is no prize -
a fact to which I should be wise -
so change my mind and start to rise,
on my way doing up his flies,
and tell the fool to exercise
to try and reach those dating highs.
It would be fair to summarise
that I'm still in love with your eyes.
