Summer Poem by Carolyn Breeze

Summer

Cool fall evening winds,
Making the colorful treetops bend.

Crispness is in the Autumn air.
Red and orange leaves everywhere.

Summer days gone by too fast,
The summer now becomes the past.

Oh how I loathe Autumns descent
It makes me feel sad and nostalgic again.

I miss the long Summer days in the sand.
Our sunset walks on the beach hand in hand.

Our children's laughter on those long hot days.
As they are chased by the flirty ocean waves.

Yes I will miss those Summer days.
Our golden skin hiding from the UV rays.

One thing always helps me through.
Next year there's a Summer too.
