Summer Nights On My Rooftop Poem by Justin Gildow

Summer Nights On My Rooftop

Sitting on my rooftop
During these summer nights
I'm gazing out
And people are out and about

The carnival's back in town
Seeing many happy couples riding
the Ferris Wheel
Kids are playing skeeball and the shooting
gallery
Families are enjoying themselves
Wonderful fun for everyone

A short distance away
Teen lovers embrace each other
And it's not hard to see
That the both of them are lovers
Hugging, kissing, and swinging each other
around

The luminescents have begun to make their
appearance
Lighting and glowing through the air
Lighting and glowing through the night
Tonight

These are my nights these days
These summer nights on my rooftop
Taking it all in
Taking it all that I can see
With my root beer in my hand
