Sun Vs Rain Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

Sun Vs Rain

It was a beautiful morning
Read on...This is an experience so darning
It was not so bright, and not so dark
But in my heart it left a mark

A skirmish was going on between the sun and rain
And then what happened, who lost and who had the gain?
Sun and wind were allies, cloud was rain's buddy
Was it a serious battle or a parody?

Sky: Sun was being blocked by the brawny cloud
Earth: Peacocks were dancing, cuckoos singing aloud
Sky: Rain was being stopped by the sturdy storm
Earth: The earthly creatures were enthralled by the events charm

The scene in the earth and the sky was differing
And yet there was no suffering
Human heart had a great rejuvenation
And had no knowledge of the battles beginning or conclusion

Then the sun and rain decided to compromise
And also determined to formalize
There was not the normal white flag, but instead the rainbow
Depicting 7 colors for the Sun, Rain, Cloud, Wind, Earth, Sky and peace...Indeed it was a great show.

Great allegory here. If only our skirmishes could end so well.
