Sunday Lounging Poem by Rick Elpers

Sunday Lounging

Longing to the location
Of memories enjoyed
And held deeply
To be brought about
By the sun in its travel
To autumn yet still young
In the light, desiring to live
Again with you by my side
Even though sitting here
In this most comfortable chair
Next to the window whose
Call is to the past, yet I know
This elation which is here now
Pondering the longing and the
Immediate, hoping to recapture
And having all, at the same moment
