Sweet Lies Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

Sweet Lies

Oh sweet lies please tell me another one.
It's your voice that reminds me of time when I was not quiet in my right mind.
Where all I was doing was searching.
Searching for the special place.
Searches for that next great escape.
Could it be the fire destroyed it all.
Oh sweet lies please never say good bye.
I will give you all I have for just one more thrill.
Another backroom deal.
My soul was never mine for you to steal.
Fiction or fantasy,
Above the sky, blurred are the lines.
Somewhere beneath divide.
In a place where stars collide.
Another supernova.
The unimaginable great explosion.
Oh sweet lies, tell me another great lullaby.
Put me into a deep sleep.
One where my dreams are what I make it.
Creation out of pure inspiration.
Welcome to sunny side cafe.
Where happiness and laughter is always here to stay.
No Debbie downer.
No struggles, no just going the motions.
A purest kind of devotion.
Let this be a promotion.
Let's cause another commotion.
After all it only sweet lies.
Oh sweet lies I'm so addicted to that which isn't real.
Never questioning it.
Self destructive with hesitation I'm so reluctant to admit the problem.
All I have left is my sweet oh so sweet lies.
