Talent Is Not Independent Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Talent Is Not Independent

In a storm, when a ship reaches shore,
All are ashore. The weaklings too.
In a storm when a ship wrecks bare,
All are sunk. The strong one too.

When a cinema is hit,
All the crew are hits, talented or not.
If it flops, the talented too are lost.
Your talent is linked with the unit’s skills.

This is not true. The talented one will always get through. Victory and failure are only notions. Real talent cannot be simply counted by popularity. Popularity has nothing to do with your indivudal talent. If you have the real gem in you, it will simply force you against all odds to shine itself one day. We all have been experiencing the same. Just think of one fact - we have been throwing our seeds and many a gale have swallowed our seeds in the course of time. But have we stopped our pursuit? If we are known through Poemhunter, it hasn't happened just by overnight. We have been continuously sowing our seeds. Likewise, all talented people are continuously thowing their seeds upon the sands of time. Time can stop their popularity but it never can stop their inherent talents. And if you have the real talent, the world will surely listen your voice one day. When? - this answer is not in our hands.
