Taxes For Whom Poem by Randy McClave

Taxes For Whom

They scream, "No Tax Help For The Poor"
Don't give them our tax dollars any more,
We the taxpayers need it more than they do
For a large refund we taxpayers are long overdue.
If they don't work let them all suffer
Because, we are all tired of being their buffer,
We are the strong and the many of the middle class
Who has worked hard and earned all we did amass.
We are tired of paying the poor person's bills
And we are tired of paying their rent and buying their pills,
It's not our fault that they're poor and needy
And we all pay our taxes and we are not at all greedy.
I don't want my taxes spent on her or him
Just because they are poor and/or needy and their life looks dim,
If they can't make enough money to stay alive
Maybe then they shouldn't at all survive.
The rich and the wealthy we all truly need
Because of them ourselves and our family we can feed,
We truly believe we need them one and all
As Jesus was needed by Paul.
In taxes we all should pay our own fair share
The problems of the poor and the needy the wealthy need not to bare,
The wealthy shouldn't be hounded they've paid enough
They too shouldn't have it rough.
They screamed and rioted while attacking the poor person
How they are a burden to our tax dollars they were all cursin',
The rich man though always wants to make and then hide another dollar
And about that fact no-one did scream or holler.
Poverty exists not because we can't feed the poor, but because we can't satisfy the rich
But, of course in the end God knows which of us is which,
We like those who are powerful and who are also very stealthy
So, we always scream instead, "Tax Cuts For The Wealthy".
