Tears Buried Inside, Ashamed Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Tears Buried Inside, Ashamed

'You are the words to my heart
and the song of my lips.
I know that there is a place that you are made for
and that is my heart'

These words are the words she said to me
and they melted through all the sadness
and all the emptiness
and all the pain
and I wanted only to belive them

But they were only words
They lasted just a day
Their meaning went astray
But their memory is what tugs at me
and breaks my heart
A beautiful dream that sailed away

Tears now buried inside, ashamed
