Everywhere in Nepal puts on
Women as if a garden blossomed red roses
A fest of fascinating sceneries it would say
A revolution done by communist women
For a few days happiness appears on faces
Beauty spot by Hindu Tradition carries on
To feast, to dance and to enjoy a day
For the sake of Godly husbands
Fasting and dedicative hearts
For good health and prosperity of their husbands
A symbolic happiness smiles
While an eternal sorrow in it
Shouldering in bound burden into their souls
To keep beauty on figure
For sex, and loyalty a showcase at home
And then bends backs to the other of rest.
By the God created and after destroyed
A rose of slavery patriarchy still celebrates
Under the beauty, a deep cry in a smile

No other religion than Buddhism has accepted the right of women to enjoy freedom as males do. Natural limitations only, if at all keep them within certain boundaries. Religion imposed slavery on women is unique to some, but not common to all religions either. Quite inspiring poem. Thanks for sharing.
