have you ever seen an image,
on tv, or in a book, or maybe the inter
net, an image so disturbing it made you cry?

me too. an image so haunting
that I halted once at a stop
sign and waited for any car

to stop, please mister can you
tell me, didn't the child have any
one to help? why couldn't we all

be there to render our assistance? just this
onetime? please... mister tell me! oh... God
Damn this image in my mind please, tell me

what happened to the children? did they survive?
are they alive...
tell me, please how do I wash this image away?
