Thankyou Poem by Mary Green

Thankyou

Thank you
to the men it my life
To Mark
you taught me
the true value of
Love -
About as worthless
as a paper hat in
a
Monsoon
To Andy
You
were the one
who showed me
that “real” life is
that which you
can
see
feel
taste
touch and
hear
You made me “see”
And let’s not
forget
Bobby –
You were the
one who
took it all away
and made
me
into someone I didn’t
want to be
And lastly to
Nigel
You
will be my
constant reminder
for the rest of
my
days
I
thank you all

Truly a blast...from the past...brilliantly executed!

It sounds like the writer has learned a lot from her experiences. Not all pleasant. I did detect some anger. But mostly I find a mature sense of perspective in her words. That is good. So is the poem. The verticle structure is one I am not fond of, but the poem itself is a fine one. It does have some flow to it. GW62
